Birth Doula Training Workshop

Tandem’s Birth Doula Training Workshop includes three of the requirements for certification as a birth doula with DONA International (https://www.dona.org/):
- Introduction to Childbirth
- Birth Doula Training
- Breastfeeding Support for Doulas
The rest of the process you complete on your own, and then submit to DONA for certification.
Tandem’s workshop trainers are from Open Circle Doula (https://www.opencircledoula.com/).
This training will run from May 14-17, 2025 from 9am-5pm, every day, with a break for lunch from 12:30-1:30pm.
Training will take place at Tandem, 2613 E. 3rd St., Bloomington, IN, 47401
Cost: $800
Local Scholarship: Up to two participants who commit to serving in Tandem’s 7-county radius will qualify for a $500 rate
Merit Scholarship: Up to two participants who submit a scholarship essay with their application and complete an interview will be selected for a $300 rate.
An individual who receives both a local and a merit scholarship may attend the training for free.
Application Deadlines:
Payment in full due: April 14th, 2025
Merit Scholarship Applicants: March 10th, 2025
Non-refundable $100 deposit due: March 19th
Local Scholarship Applicants (first come first served): March 20th, 2025
General Applicants: April 5th, 2025 (registrations after March 19th must make deposit payment within 48 hrs to hold place)
