Internship Program
Each semester, Tandem hosts interns from a multitude of majors and degree programs, both undergraduate and graduate, for internships in which they can grown their skills while serving the community.
We look for interns who are self-starters, passionate about reproductive and perinatal health, and want to make a difference.

Rainey Fikes
Rainey Fikes is a Junior at Indiana University majoring in Youth Development with minors in Dance and Health studies. After graduation, she hopes to become a Child Life Specialist in a pediatric healthcare setting in her hometown of St. Louis. She enjoys playing tennis, watching movies, and trying new restaurants in Bloomington in her free time. Rainey is excited to be working with Tandem this semester and continuing her passion for working with children and helping people from all walks of life. She will be helping with all things open hours during her time here.
Jasmine Lucas
Kate Ranaudo
Kate is a senior at Indiana University majoring in Community Health with a minor in Children’s and Maternal Health. Her interest in this field has been shaped by the coursework she has completed at IU, as well as her experience interning in clinical research, where she worked on a trial for a novel medicine aimed at supporting healthy pregnancies. In her free time, Kate enjoys watching sports, spending time with friends, trying new restaurants, and practicing yoga. After graduation, she plans to pursue an Accelerated Nursing Program to become a registered nurse.
Samantha Jane
Sam is a senior at Indiana University, majoring in exercise science with a minor in medical sciences. She is from Columbus, Ohio, and plans to attend medical school after graduation. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, going on walks, and spending time with friends. She is deeply passionate about women’s health and is excited to work closely with Tandem this semester to help make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
Fall 2025 Interns
Emma Domke
Emma Domke is currently a senior at Indiana University majoring in Human Biology and Neuroscience and minoring in Spanish. She is on the pre-medical track and is interested in obstetrics and gynecology as well as emergency medicine. Emma is also interested in global medicine and conducted research about prenatal healthcare in Ghana over the summer. Through her studying abroad and research experience, she is excited to learn more about increasing women’s access to healthcare through organizations like Tandem! In her spare time, Emma enjoys going on walks and cooking!
Kinzie Gamaleldin
Anna Kaippallimalil
Anna Kaippallimalil is a sophomore at IU Bloomington majoring in Human Biology and Anthropology. She has aspirations of attending medical school for pathology or pediatrics in the future! On campus, she is involved with Ascend (business non-profit), and Western Equestrian (Horse Riding!), and Phi Delta Epsilon (the campus medical fraternity). She loves learning about ancient history, archaeology, and paleontology and will gladly talk about said topics for ages. Anna is excited to be part of Tandem, as she is passionate about maternal and women’s health!
Laney Martlage
Laney is a senior studying Human Biology with a minor in Chemistry at Indiana University with plans to attend medical school and pursue a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology after graduating. Her interest in maternal and fetal healthcare began with concern for the high rates of healthcare disparities in OBGYN, and grew into a passion for all things pregnancy. They believe that reproductive health deserves a space without shame or judgment, and love that Tandem creates exactly that for the local community. When Laney isn’t studying, they enjoy a good book, driving with windows down and music up, working out, trying new things, and volunteering both locally and nationally.
Meghanne Phillips
Jackson Shanks
Jackson Shanks is a sophomore at IU Bloomington majoring in Finance and minoring in Economics. After college he hopes to work in Wealth Management. In his free time, he loves to play sports, watch movies, and hang out with friends. He is looking forward to helping out in the community, and his involvement at Tandem as a Finance/Accounting Intern.
