College Internship Program
Tandem’s support of the Bloomington community extends beyond growing families to students at Indiana University. Each semester, we invite students interested in obstetrics, family planning, and women’s health to enhance their professional and personal development by joining our team.
Summer 2024 Interns
Kaylie Myers
Kaylie is a recent graduate from Indiana University where she received a Community Health Degree. She plans on going back to get her Masters in Social and Behavioral Sciences in Public Health with a focus on reproductive and women’s health. She is very passionate about advocating for others and hopes to work continuously for underrepresented communities and those who may not always have their voices heard. She is excited to work for Tandem in their journey to give back to the community and increase access to reproductive health options. In her free time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, obsessing over her plants, and cuddling with her cat.
Camila Cantu is a junior at IU currently studying Human Biology and Community Health with a minor in Spanish. She is currently on the pre-medical track and is currently interested in gynecology and pediatrics with a hope to serve underserved communities and Hispanic populations. She is very excited to work with Tandem as they continue to expand their resources across the Bloomington community. In her free time, Camila likes to do hot yoga, cook, and travel abroad!
Camila Cantu
Alex Cappelli
Alex Cappelli is senior at Indiana University majoring in Human Biology and Anthropology. She was introduced to Tandem while taking a class about pregnancy and prenatal care and was immediately interested in their mission. She is excited to be a part of Tandem's work to expand obstetric and reproductive care options in the community. In her free time, Alex likes to play the bass and crochet!
Aiyanna Witham
Aiyanna is a sophomore studying Human Development and Family Studies on a Pre-PA track. Once out in the field, she hopes to work in rural areas throughout the country to bring OB/GYN care and sexual health education to underserved communities. In her free time she enjoys working out, hiking, being a plant mom, and spoiling her cat, Bozo.
